Building academic community through empowering educators

Led by the esteemed Professor Dilmurod Mamatov, vice-rector for Academic Affairs, the training provided "very useful and necessary information" on two foundational pillars of modern education:

  • Mastering the Credit-Module System (CMS) for course development (Syllabus).
  • Upholding Publication Ethics and mastering international citation styles (APA, MLA, GOST).

This dedication to high-level academic standards is the essential foundation that enables scholars in Uzbekistan to lead complex, international, and interdisciplinary projects.

It is precisely this foundation that our Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Module: "Strengthening Disaster Risk Governance Through EU Law (RiskGovEU)" is built upon.

As a specialized, EU-funded module, our project not only benefits from these standards but actively implements them:

  1. CMS Integration: The RiskGovEU module is fully integrated into the university's Credit-Module System. We provide a comprehensive Syllabus that outlines all learning objectives, EU-specific case studies, and assessment criteria for students seeking specialized knowledge in disaster management.
  2. Academic & Research Ethics: Our project's mission is to produce and disseminate new knowledge. This requires strict adherence to international publication ethics and citation standards (like APA). This allows our researchers to successfully navigate complex EU legal texts, analyze policy documents, and share their findings with a global academic audience.

Initiatives like the one at Yangi Asr University build the capacity for academic excellence, while projects like RiskGovEU provide the specialized, high-level content.

Together, they demonstrate the growing strength of Uzbekistan's higher education community and its readiness to lead on critical global topics like Disaster Risk Governance.
