COURSE SYLLABUS

STRENGTHENING DISASTER RISK GOVERNANCE THROUGH EU LAW

Total Duration: 3 semesters

Seminar Hours per Semester: 26


COURSE OBJECTIVES
1. Develop a comprehensive understanding of disaster risk governance within the framework of EU law.
2. Examine the legal and institutional frameworks for disaster management in the EU.
3. Cultivate critical thinking and practical skills through case studies, moot courts, and interactive discussions.
4. Explore cross-cutting issues, such as human rights, sustainability, and technological advancements in DM.

 

COURSE MATERIAL

STRENGTHENING DISASTER RISK GOVERNANCE THROUGH EU LAW

Students will explore the intersection of law and crisis management, covering topics such as international and EU regulatory frameworks, human rights protection during disasters, housing and property law, and the impact of emergencies on the EU internal market and rule of law.

This course is designed to empower the next generation of legal experts to address the growing challenges of disaster resilience through a robust understanding of EU law.
